ARTICLE I: GENERAL

This Privacy Policy is an addition to the Terms and Conditions. Therefore, the general definitions and provisions of the Terms and Conditions apply. This Privacy Policy is a binding agreement between the Provider (We) and each User. The User (You) expressly consent(s) to storage and processing of your personal data, as described and defined in this policy.  By using the Service you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We collect certain information that you voluntarily provide when you register with the Service. This information may include personally identifiable information such as your name, email address and date of birth, as well as other personal information such as your password, gender, region of residence, credentials and areas of expertise.  You may access and make changes to your stored account information at any time by logging into your account and editing your profile page.  As a registered User, you will be able to reply to opinion polls, create and post opinion polls for other Users, access information derived from responses to opinion polls and post comments that will be visible to other Users of the Service.

We may use cookies or similar technology to collect information about you, your online behavior, and/or your computer or other device from which you access the Service.  This information may include your preferences and settings, IP address, browser type, web pages visited, date and time of those visits, content viewed, the website you arrived from, and other clickstream data.  If you do not want this type of information to be collected, your computer or other device may allow you to block the use of these technologies, however, doing so may affect the functionality of the Service.

ARTICLE 3: HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

The information we collect from you will be used in the analysis of the opinion poll results and may be used to improve our website and services and to provide you with customized content, including advertisements.  The Provider may also use your information to contact you regarding information or notifications about the Service.

ARTICLE 4: DO WE DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION TO OUTSIDE PARTIES?

The Provider may share your personally identifiable information with third parties that provide us with services, such as website development, hosting, storage, and other technical services.  We may share non-personally identifiable information or aggregated data about our Users with our partners, advertisers or other third parties.  Your personally identifiable information will not be made available to other Users of the Service, though non-personally identifiable information such as your credentials and demographic information will be used in reporting the poll results.  The Provider reserves the right to share your personally identifiable information in order to cooperate with law enforcement proceedings or governmental investigations, such as in response to subpoenas, search warrants, court orders, or other legal processes.
The Provider will not otherwise share or sell your personally identifiable information.

ARTICLE 5: THIRD PARTY LINKS

The Service may include links to third party websites that have independent privacy policies.  The Provider does not bear any responsibility for the actions or policies of third parties or the content, services or products of their websites.

ARTICLE 6: TRANSFER OF INFORMATION

If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, we may transfer your information to the United States where the privacy laws may not be as protective as in your country or jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

ARTICLE 7: CALIFORNIA ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT

The Service is in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act, and is exempt from the requirements of California’s “Shine the Light” law because the Provider does not share your personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes.

ARTICLE 8: CHILDREN

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 years of age to register with the Service or provide any personal information.
